Talk about a school boasting ‘old-school’ charm coupled with modern practicality! When we arrived on sight at this beautiful school we were thrilled to see a juxtaposition of old and new. The durability of aluminium frames partnered with classic wooden veneer ‘arch’ or ‘radius’ windows. So called because, as you can see, the bottom of the window is a rectangle shape while the top is an arch.

If you are a proud owner of arch windows you know there is more to them than their visual appeal. They can be installed operable or fixed and can be detailed, as these ones are, with grids; bars that divide the windows into smaller panes.

These are the positive things you need to recall when you realise how TRICKY they are to clean! Yes…they are gorgeous to look at but can be a little high maintenance (as most things gorgeous are ;-)).

Because we know ‘windows’ well, this eye candy proved no obstacle for our expert window cleaning professionals. Neither did cleaning two stories of arch windows (using extension poles, specialised squeegee’s and expert technique) easily intimidate our Get It Clean crew. What’s the first thing that comes to mind on viewing this window washing moment in time? Does the expression “go go gadget…extension poles” ring a bell? Or…what about “there ain’t no window high enough, there ain’t no grime tough enough to keep us from getting to it”…suffice to say this was definitely one of Steve’s ‘four story glory’ moments! And no doubt, as Steve was washing windows at this Brisbane hospital building, he was humming a similar tune.

The invention of light weight, water fed extension poles has really revolutionised the window washing world. We can now efficiently and safely clean high windows, ladder free, from the ground up.
