Window Cleaning Arch Windows Not A Problem at Shorncliffe

Talk about a school boasting ‘old-school’ charm coupled with modern practicality! When we arrived on sight at this beautiful school we were thrilled to see a juxtaposition of old and new. The durability of aluminium frames partnered with classic wooden veneer ‘arch’ or ‘radius’ windows. So called because, as you can see, the bottom of the window is a rectangle shape while the top is an arch.

If you are a proud owner of arch windows you know there is more to them than their visual appeal. They can be installed operable or fixed and can be detailed, as these ones are, with grids; bars that divide the windows into smaller panes.

These are the positive things you need to recall when you realise how TRICKY they are to clean! Yes…they are gorgeous to look at but can be a little high maintenance (as most things gorgeous are ;-)).

Because we know ‘windows’ well, this eye candy proved no obstacle for our expert window cleaning professionals. How did we do it? Of course working with top quality equipment and products is a big part of it, but so is our window cleaning technique – ‘fanning’. Moving the squeegee back and forth over the glass with suitable pressure and continuous motion to leave the glass streak free and drip free.
